Entries Closing for Savour Patissier of the Year 2017

Entries are closing on Thursday, December 15th for Savour Patissier of the Year, arguably the biggest patisserie competition in the world after only one year since it’s inception.

Eclair--Savour-Patissier-of-the-YearThe competition is looking for professional pastry chefs from around the world to compete for the title at Foodservice Australia, Melbourne, May 28-30, 2017.

There are four categories for the competitors to enter are Tarts, Entremets, Eclairs and NEW for 2017 – Desserts.

Jordi-RocaOur panel of judges will include some of the most internationally renowned pastry chefs in the world, including Christophe Michalak – TV star, author of several books and owner of three patisseries in Paris; Jordi Roca, voted Best Pastry Chef in the World and his establishment el celler de can roca the Best Restaurant in the World; Antonio Bachour, owner of Bachour Bakery and Bistro in Miami; and Executive Pastry Chef at Savour School, Paul Kennedy.

Competitors will present each judge with their creation and the judges will taste and judge each product. The judges will select a winner in each category. The competitor with the highest combined score will win the title and prize of Savour Patissier of the Year.

Prizes include

  • $15,000 AUD cash prize
  • 3 day trip to Hong Kong to train with Marike Van Beurden at the RavifruitStudio
  • Over $25,000 worth of equipment
  • Trophy and the title of Savour Patissier of the Year
